Maria Seddon - Principal.
“Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk.” I have been a performer for the majority of my life. During high school I didn't stray far from my dance roots, I participated in several musical theatre performances and choreographed the dance sequences.
I started at Joan Woods Stage School dancing when I was three years old. Ever since I was a child I have greatly enjoyed music and have always wanted to dance since I can remember. I think I realised this when I saw all of the older girls in my studio dance on stage, they seemed to be having so much fun and they all looked so beautiful. Performing on stage is what I enjoy most, it is such an exhilarating feeling that can only be known to those that love to dance. I realised it was the performing I enjoyed more than the actual competing.

Chris Seddon
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports, Coaching and Exercise Science and worked as a fitness instructor for 2 years before deciding upon a change of career. I am currently working for Gleeds as a Quantity Surveyor who are sponsoring me through a part time QS degree course.
My position within Maria's Dancing Footsteps is purely a non dancing role, as unfortunately I suffer from a bad case of two left feet. I mainly run the business side of the school, however that does not mean to say that you will not see me around as I also help with the financial aspects including collecting fees.
